My personal yoga story
and what I want to share with you

How did yoga help me find the perfect balance between movement and stillness?
How did a journey through cultures and continents shape
my approach to teaching yoga?

My yoga journey began in 2001 in Abu Dhabi, where there were hardly any English-speaking yoga classes at the time. It continued across two more continents: Asia (Tokyo and Seoul) and North America (New York). Discovering yoga and living abroad deeply shaped my personal growth, my experiences on the mat as a student, and ultimately my path as a yoga teacher.

The ‘You’ stands for you, because I would love to share my personal yoga journey and the knowledge I’ve gathered over the years with you.
In my yoga, it’s all about you. It’s about connecting my yoga world with yours and focusing on the individuality within each of us.

Everyone embarks on their own yoga journey, and I’m honored to be a guide along the way. This is where "My" meets "Your," creating a unity reflected in the wordplay of You and United.

Why is yoga more than an exercise and how can it enrich your journey?

Yoga Younited was born from my passion for yoga,

my international background, and my life as a modern nomad. I lived abroad for 16 years and came to know and love many different cultures. Both yoga and my openness and curiosity for other countries, cultures, and people are the foundation of the Yoga Younited brand.

How did I manage to find more balance between movement and stillness through my yoga practice?

Through the constant movement in my life, not only from traveling but also as a working mother of three sons, stillness was often the missing piece to restore balance. It was only through my Restorative Yoga teacher training that I realized how essential self-care and relaxation are to refill my energy reserves and maintain my usual high energy levels while moving through life.

Finding the balance between movement and stillness, stability and flexibility, yin and yang, between action and rest, from traveling to mindfully arriving in the here and now—that is what I have learned through my yoga practice and what I hope to share with others.

I invite you to begin or continue your own yoga journey.
Everyone brings something unique, and I look forward to being by your side as your guide.

Let’s find the balance between movement and stillness together
and discover the transformative potential of yoga.
